Take de-noising software -- GREYCstoration piles all over commercial alternatives. Inkscape vector software is so far ahead of Illustrator in features it's difficult to even compare the two. Indeed it is a complaint of many that there is an extreme lack of decent audiovisual content creation software available natively to Linux.
